A simply fascinating itinerary in the foothills between Val Corsaglia and Val Casotto. In search of remote hideaways, passing through extensive woodland and picturesque mountain villages.
The tour is a circuit. Departure is recommended from Bossea (836) in Val Corsaglia, where you can find parking space near the famous caves before proceeding towards Pra di Roburent (1014) with its characteristic square and portico, engagingly painted by local artists.
Following the dirt road in the direction of San Giacomo di Roburent (1011) a detour to the right leads to the locality Croce dei Cardini (1225) and then on towards Serra di Pamparato (964). A right turn takes us onto a wide cart track amid chestnut groves in the direction of Valcasotto (1000), which is renowned for the maturing of cheeses (on booking, it is possible to visit the cheese cellars of Beppino Occelli). At the “Locanda del Mulino” there is a charging station available for e-bikes. Continuing in the direction of Pamparato (816) the road climbs up to Serra and returns to Pra and Bossea on the Roà Marenca.
